Late season fly fishing
Last days of September means also the last days of salmon fishing on most of the Swedish rivers, also on Mörrum River in South Sweden. Guide company Laxlyckan makes a full three-day package every year to celebrate the almost past season and really get the most out of it.
This year 7 persons joined from both Sweden and Denmark. Three of them were also complete beginners on salmonfishing with fly. Despite this they were lucky with the conditions and landed 8 salmons. Second day Carsten Thomsen from Esbjerg, Denmark landed his first salmon ever, a male measuring 111 cm! An overwhelmed Carsten kept repeating “It is insane!” and were still shaky when pouring his beer an hour later. On the third day an even bigger fish was caught by Jonas Bark from Västerås, Sweden. After running through the bushes when the fish went down the rapids, he could happily measure a hen fish to a personal record: 117 cm.
We are already longing for the coming season and wish all old and new clients welcome back in spring 2014!

Hälsingland & metersnoeken.nl
The two anglers Frans van der Putte and Oscar Wissink from Dutch webmagazine http://www.metersnoeken.nl has been fishing in the area of Hälsningland recently. Pictured is a double strike from lake Dellen, pike 101 & 108 cm caught while fishing with Knosa.

Mörrum big salmon
One of this year's biggest salmons was taken on September 19 at the Vittskövle-stretch. Hermann Straub got the 118cm long, large salmon on the lower part of the beat. The fish were released after a quick picture, and was one of three giant salmon, which were caught within a day ... Friday also saw a salmon of 118 in Pool 4 and the day before landed a salmon of the same length in the pool 26.

Karlskrona pike
Last Saturday I had the pleasure to fish with the Czech Jackson Kayaks team. This gave me the opportunity to fish from Cuda 14 from Jackson Kayaks. The fishery was conducted in Karlskrona western archipelago and the fishing was good, despite the brilliant sunshine and crystal clear waters. I called the big pike by its absence, but with such a fine late summer weather, it was great to just be out on the lake in beautiful companion. For us six people came up about 60 pike with a peak just under 80cm.

From last week >>> Our belgian guests (four guys) landed and released over eight hundred pikes with a peak of 103 cm. It´s typical summer fishing; many pikes, smaller size, but great strong fellows ... The Czechs came up in more than 500 landed and releasd. Longest was 89 cm if I remember correctly, but size will be better as the water cools off. How many pikes our Polish guests landed I do not know, but they did get at least two who passed the 90 cm mark. Fishing is basically simple: listen to our advice, rent a boat or kayak, go out to the places we point out and fish with a spoon, spinner, flies or wobbler. You can not fail .. Call and we will help you and your children or friends to a wonderful experience and a memory for life.

French guests lake Glafsfjorden
Here is a nice report from Peter at Hammarö Trolling. He guide clients primarily in lake Vänern for trout and salmon, but also in other lakes in the region of Värmland. Here is a report from lake Glafsfjorden with french clients Charles and Camille from Brittany.
- Successful fishing on Glafsfjorden. I had today Charles and Camille from Brittany in France visiting the boat. Charles had this fishing day as a gift of his thirty year anniversary. Interestingly, they found me on the portal http://www.swedenfishing.com where I found the address of its own and together with Skutbergets camping. Charles is an avid fisherman back home in France wanted to fish pike and beat his PB. This was a modest 73 cm, so I thought the chances are good to do so. The speed was up to 2.8 knots and away we went. The result was four pike between 79 0Ch 89 cm, four pike and two aspens. The strange happened that we got double stab at zander in this fast. Charles got trill fish so he was sweating and Camille footed. Thank you for a nice day on the see and very velcome back another time! Camille, I will put in your photos when i get them!
