Kalix salmon runs

From river Kalixälven; The water has risen by 3 cm in the river so that the anglers now have a greater chance of catching a salmon. 238 salmon walked through the fishladder yesterday, which gives us 11,644 samlons overall, really nice numbers!

Ödevata summer fishing

Wonderful Saturday morning! We have many boats booked, but some are still not taken. Welcome to take you out on the lake today / tonight for a beautiful summer fishing from one of our boats with electric motors in Mosjön, Ödevaten, Skärsjön, Hultabräan or Törn. In one of the lakes where perch went mad the other night. One angler stopped counting after 50 and several were really nice over a pound.

Perch summer

We have had a marvellous summer in Sweden this year with nice and warm weather, and fishing for perch has been just great in many lakes, rivers and along the east coast of Sweden. It is difficult to point out any special camps or places, because perch are present in almost all lakes and riversystemst throughout our country. Perch can be caught with different tackle, from basic coarse fishing from the dock to boat fishing around shallow areas and structures in the outer archipelago of the Baltic sea. But in short, perch are abundant, strong, fun and just delightful on the dinner table.

Tiveden July update

Good fishing at Tiveden Flyfish now! I was up for half Saturday and despite changing weather with both rain, wind, sun and calm landed four nice trout and two equally fine bows. Small caddis hatched sporadically which is typical for the season. Occasional mayflies were also observed, as well as damsel- and dragonflies. Fly patterns that delivered during the day were imitations of mayfly- and damsel nymphs and E12's in size #12. Can also confirm that it goes really big trout in Bergsjön! I got to witness a fish at least 2 kgs coming up and take something in the surface half a meter out from the rock I sit. The fish went up nice and slow and swam back into the depths just as quiet as it was a good time to observe it. But not enough time to get into all the line and fly. I highly recommend an evening fishing in Tiveden during the period we are in right now. If you hit the right afternoon / evening with sunshine and calm weather you can experience some really nice fishing. //Stefan.

Teilus perch & pike

Here is a report from fishing guide Markus Teilus from a day with some foreign guests ::::  Over the last weekend, I went inland for a guided tour to the waters of Kronogård. A month ago I was contacted by a group of German/polish anglers, who were looking for a nice area to fish. They were after pike, perch and even grayling etc. It was a very nice group of angler, who also were skilled fishermen. Must say it was a very nice and pleasant guided tour of Kronogård and its waters. Unfortunately was not fishing on top that day, and only a couple smågäddor and some better bass deigned to bite our lures. Guests fished mostly with jig, as they experienced better hooking qualities and easier to unhook, with only a single hook. In this way did not harm the fish to the same. So they were very keen on fish and fishing, which is great to hear. They will be left behind and go fishing in the area for another week. When they got home, they would write a story and send it to me with a couple of pictures.
