Blekinge pike & cod
From fishing camp in Blekinge, Sandhamn Marine, we get a nice report from the late spring fishing ::: Direct from Croatia comes mr Milan Marijan (better known as Doc) to Sweden and the Torhamn Archipelago for pike fishing. As usual, he knows how to fish our area and Sunday fishing resulted in about 100 caught pikes, all of course were released! Doc has his own production of lures, Monarch Doc, and we have designed a custom of these, Santahamina Marine Special, which proved to work very well in our waters.
Here is Doks own words ::: Nice day, we started at 3:00 p.m. - wind was hard, big waves, we decided to stay just behind the corner, around Hamarora and Bataskar island, good decision, we caught more than 60 pikes, 70- 98 cms, an really big one (120+) we lost just under the boat, the titanium wire broke. We hade one triple strike and lot of double strikes, we had only 4 hours for fishing, but great day - again !! Well, yesterday we could not start earlier due to strong east wind, but in the afternoon we put our boat in west harbour and try to find some pikes outside in the archipelago, an we find them, they are no longer in shallow dirty bays, they are standing now at the reefs further out, chasing for herring or something else. We caught 59 pikes in 3 hours, all pikes between 75 and 95 cms, strong fighters, they took lures greedy, this time we tried with bigger jerkbaits and some froggy softlures, 95% we caught on HK-Mamma, best colours SM special and Mackrel. We had lot of duble strikes and triple strikes, 3 in a row, 4 in a row - great fishing at your place !

Now in the beginning of the summer fishing for cod has also been good out of Sandhamn Marine fishing camp. Read more about Sandhamn Marine in area Blekinge here >>>

From the same waters in eastern Bleking we also got a report from PikeStrike camp Brofästet that the summer boat fishing for pike has started a little further out in the archipelago, and some really nice specimen has been caught. Also keep in mind that PikeStrike has a fully stocked tackle shop which is open almost every day.

Värmland fishing update
From mr Jens Karlsson in Värmland we got the following update on the fishing in the area during spring and early summer ::::::::: The spring fishing has been really good for the fishing groups visiting the Värmland area. Sundviks Farm in Storfors, at the lake Stor-Lungen, had their first groups from their new partner Kingfisher Angelreisen and the customers have been very satisfied with the service and fishing. At Ingestrands Camping at Glafsfjorden customers from France and Germany where very lucky with the fishing for pike in late May and beginning of June. Also Larstomta B&B in Gunnarskog has been visited by their first groups from their new partner Latitude Fishing. At Larstomta it has been good fishing mainly for pike, especially in the smaller forest waters by float tubes. Also the fishing in lake Vänern for salmon and trout as been successful for Peter Wiklund at Hammarö Trolling.
The area has also been visited of several journalists and movie team. For example David Wolstoncraft Dodds, who has been at several destinations around Värmland for fly fishing for pike. From France a movie team has been around for making a movie about canoeing and fishing in the wilderness. The fishing results for the movie team was very good, with several pikes bigger than 110 cm, and it will result in a great movie about the nature in Värmland.
