Värmland fishing update
From mr Jens Karlsson in Värmland we got the following update on the fishing in the area during spring and early summer ::::::::: The spring fishing has been really good for the fishing groups visiting the Värmland area. Sundviks Farm in Storfors, at the lake Stor-Lungen, had their first groups from their new partner Kingfisher Angelreisen and the customers have been very satisfied with the service and fishing. At Ingestrands Camping at Glafsfjorden customers from France and Germany where very lucky with the fishing for pike in late May and beginning of June. Also Larstomta B&B in Gunnarskog has been visited by their first groups from their new partner Latitude Fishing. At Larstomta it has been good fishing mainly for pike, especially in the smaller forest waters by float tubes. Also the fishing in lake Vänern for salmon and trout as been successful for Peter Wiklund at Hammarö Trolling.
The area has also been visited of several journalists and movie team. For example David Wolstoncraft Dodds, who has been at several destinations around Värmland for fly fishing for pike. From France a movie team has been around for making a movie about canoeing and fishing in the wilderness. The fishing results for the movie team was very good, with several pikes bigger than 110 cm, and it will result in a great movie about the nature in Värmland.

North Sweden fishing
In the central and northern parts of Sweden the ice is now mostly gone and the fishing in open water is starting up. In many places the fishing for pike is at it´s peak, and within days the fly fishing for trout and grayling will begin. Picture above is from river Mellanljusnan, and on the smaller lakes the big mayflies are about to start hatching, which draws the big trout, grayling and char to the surface.
