ABOUT US
The cottages are idyllically located on an island in Lake Runn. Runn is one of Sweden’s best lakes for catching pike, perch, and zander. The lake covers an area of 65.5 sq km with a maximum depth of 27 m and contains 80 islands. The cottages are located right by the water and you are practically at the dock when you step out the door. We provide well-equipped boats with various options for your fishing experience.

Season
Our cottages are generally open from the end of April until mid-October. Late spring and early fall are the best seasons for real fishing enthusiasts who want to maximize their chances of catching pike. Summer is perfect for enjoyable family fishing for perch, pike, and zander.
Other activities
Our cottages are located 10 km from Falun with its almost 60,000 inhabitants. A city that is largely classified as a World Heritage Site with many cultural treasures and several good restaurants. If you want to do other activities besides fishing on Runn one day, it is ideal for paddling and visiting some of the lake's many uninhabited islands. Canoes are available for rent.

FISHING
The main species to fish for in Runn are pike, zander, and perch. In recent years, Runn has become a very good lake for zander fishing, but it is most famous for its large pike. It is not uncommon for pike over 120 cm to be caught in the lake.
Service
A simpler motorboat (Ryds 460) is included in the basic package. More advanced motorboats can be arranged: 1. Tracker V16 with a 40 hp motor, electric motor with GPS, sonar, casting deck, etc. 2. Large aluminum boat with a 60 hp motor and downriggers.
Fishing equipment
Fishing is best done from one of our boats. Here you have access to sonar to see the depths and where the fish are, but it is also possible to fish from one of the many uninhabited islands if you want to stretch your legs for a while.
Fishing regulations
Pike over 80 cm should be released back into the water as gently as possible. A maximum of 2 zander between 50-70 cm may be caught per fishing session/day, zander under 50 cm and over 70 cm should be released back into the water as gently as possible.
ACCOMMODATION
The cottages have everything for your convenience: separate bedrooms for a good night's sleep, TV/video in the living room, and a fireplace for cozy evenings. You can cook in the cottage and store food in the fridge/freezer. Each cottage has a shower and toilet. Enjoy nature from the porch or patio with outdoor furniture and cook on the grill while enjoying the view. Electricity and water costs are included in the price and pets are welcome. Smoking is prohibited indoors.

Location & transfer
The cottages are located on an island in Lake Runn, which is 10 km from Falun. You can reach Falun by train from Arlanda Airport, for example. The train takes 2 hours and 20 minutes. We can arrange transport from Falun to the cottage.
